Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – 26 May 2025: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, conducted a field visit to the site of Rua Al Madinah Project, which is being developed by Rua Al Madinah Holding Company adjacent to the Prophet’s Mosque.
During the visit, His Royal Highness was briefed on the progress and latest developments of the project, where infrastructure works have surpassed 50% completion. The visit was attended by Mr. Naif bin Saleh Al Hamdan, Chairman of the company, accompanied by the CEO, Eng. Ahmed Al Juhani.
His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation for the efforts invested in the development of the project’s infrastructure and commended the company’s commitment to preserving Madinah’s unique architectural identity. He praised its consideration for the authenticity of the urban environment in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership and in support of sustainable development.
The tour also included a visit to one of the four 110 kV power substations, being implemented by Rua Al Madinah Holding under the supervision of National Grid SA. The station features a distinctive architectural design that blends elements of Madinah’s architectural heritage with modern engineering, earning it the “Innovation in Architecture Award” as part of the “Construction Innovation Awards KSA 2025”.
For his part, Chairman of Rua Al Madinah Holding Company extended his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Governor of Madinah for his continued support. He affirmed that the visit serves as a strong motivation to continue advancing the leadership’s vision by developing an integrated urban environment that reflects the identity of Madinah and preserves its historical legacy, contributing to the city’s cultural and developmental prominence both locally and globally, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
